Mosquitoes are going to be particularly annoying this summer. All the rain -- and the standing water that results -- has created a rich breeding environment for for the pests. The Marion County Health Dept. reports that mosquitoes are breeding at three to five times the normal rate. Mosquitoes can transmit West Nile virus, a potentially deadly disease. Use mosquito repellant when outdoors and, whenever possible, cover your skin.
