All concerts are free and open to the public; tickets required for some performances.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 29

Purdue University Symphonic Band and Ball State University Wind Ensemble

8 p.m.

We welcome the convention of the American Bandmasters Association to Indianapolis with a concert featuring the Purdue University Symphonic Band and the Ball State University Wind Ensemble. Under the batons of an array of the world’s finest guest conductors, the two bands present an evening of the best in band music.

THURSDAY, MARCH 1

Michigan State University Wind Symphony and Indiana University Wind Ensemble

8 p.m.

The American Bandmasters Association Convention concerts continue with two more of our country’s finest wind bands sharing the stage.

FRIDAY, MARCH 2

United States Army Field Band

8 p.m.

The nonpareil U.S. Army Field Band visits Indianapolis to perform at this prestigious convention.

Free of charge; but tickets are required.

SATURDAY, MARCH 3

Butler University Wind Ensemble

2 p.m.

The Butler Wind Ensemble has the honor of playing the closing concert of the convention. The premiere of a work by Butler alumnus Douglas Wagner will pay special tribute to longtime Butler band conductor Dr. John Colbert.
