- Charles Venable
Today they announced that Venable has signed on for (up to) another 10 years as the Melvin & Bren Simon Director and CEO of the IMA.
He originally signed on for a five-year contract in 2012.
“Changing the trajectory of any institution takes commitment, hard work and time,” said Tom Hiatt, chair of the IMA’s Board of Governors in a press release. “The other members of the Board and I are confident that Charles and the leadership team he has recruited have set the IMA on the path to a brilliant—and sustainable—future."
According to the same release Venable increased membership by 200 percent, a skewed number considering the museum cut off free passes to the galleries and grounds.
