When: Fri., Sept. 30, 8 p.m. 2011
Art vs. Art, the painting competition with a twist, returns to Broad Ripple to determine which artist will take home the $4,000 Grand Prize.
On September 10, competing artists received identical materials to participate in Paint Day. After getting their canvas, brushes and acrylic paints, they were given 4 hours to paint.
At the Main Event, audience vote determines the winner between same-day-created works of art. The loser faces the “Wheel of Death,” which determines how the painting will be destroyed unless someone purchases it at the on-the-spot auction. The last painting standing will be crowned the Art vs. Art 2011 Champion, receiving the Grand Prize.
During the Main Event, the Leisure Kings Big Band is set to perform. For more info, visit www.artvsart.net.
Price: $12 in advance; $15 the day of the show.
