INDIANAPOLIS CIVIC THEATRE TO HOLD OPEN AUDITIONS FOR JR. CIVIC MUSICAL
PRODUCTION OF "THE VELVETEEN RABBIT"

Indianapolis Civic Theatre will hold OPEN AUDITIONS for the "kids-only"
cast of the full-scale Jr. Civic summer musical production of THE
VELVETEEN RABBIT on Monday and Tuesday, April 12 & 13, 2010 at 4:00pm.
AUDITIONS will be held at the Indianapolis Civic Theatre, 3200 Cold
Spring Road, Indianapolis in 46222 and are open to youth ages 6-18. NO
APPOINTMENT NECESSARY! Performing experience not required and
participants need not be enrolled in Civic Theatre's education programs
to audition. The script calls for 30 to 35 young performers (boys &
girls). Those interested in auditioning need to prepare a song, no more
that 16 measures (bring sheet music) and be prepared to read from the
script. An accompanist will be provided. Wear appropriate clothing for a
brief movement audition. Principal roles feature The Narrator, Nana,
Velveteen Rabbit and Little Boy. Other roles include Aunt Sally, Uncle
Fred, Doctor, Good Fairy, Skin Horse, tin soldiers, building blocks and
many additional toys and rabbits. The show will be presented June 18
through June 23 on the Theatre's mainstage, 3200 Cold Spring Rd. located
on the campus of Marian University. The production is directed by Civic
