Ball State University Jazz Lab Ensemble Returns to The Paramount Theatre

On Wednesday April 18 at 7pm Mark Buselli will return conducting the Ball State University Jazz Lab Ensemble for a benefit for The Paramount Theatre. Tickets are $12 for Adults and $5 for students with ID, available at the box office and the night of the show. Doors open at 6pm. Enjoy an evening of Latin Jazz, Big Band and Eclectic selections.

The Jazz Lab Ensemble is the flagship of the Ball State University School of Music program and enjoys the reputation of being one of the best collegiate bands in the country. The band rehearses five hours per week and tours throughout the United States and Europe. All students must audition for this ensemble at the start of the Fall semester. The band has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland, the Brienze Jazz Festival in Brienz, Switzerland, and the North Sea Jazz Festival in Den Haag, Holland. The band has received numerous awards from over 20 appearances at the Elmhurst Jazz Festival in Chicago, the Kansas City Jazz Fest., and the National Collegiate Jazz Fest in Mobile, Alabama. The program also brings in four national and international guest artists PER YEAR to perform with the band. Some past guests have included Buddy DeFranco, Karrin Allyson, Dena DeRose, Allen Vizzutti, Wycliffe Gorden, and Bobby Watson.

Price: $12 for Adults and $5 for students with ID.
