Bassnectar & Major Lazer at The Vogue

My Old Kentucky Blog and A Squared Industries have teamed up to bring Indianapolis one of the nation’s hottest trend setters in the merging electronic and jam band scenes to The Vogue this Thursday. Bassnectar’s unique blend of dub tempo, intense basslines, and sporadic morsels of hip hop has united live music enthusiasts across a spectrum of genres.

Opening for Bassnectar is Major Lazer, a pair of dancehall DJ’s who spin a wicked, peculiar mix of trip hop and reggae fusion. The face of Major Lazer is a cartoon character that sports a lazer for an arm and, according to press materials, “fights the spoils of vampires, zombies, pimps, mummies, and other unsavory forces of evil.
