When: Thu., May 8, 7 p.m. 2014

Anticon artist Baths released the striking debut Cerulean three years ago, toured it, got a horrible infection, recovered, and made Obsidian. He released this statement about his darker, bleaker, even more beautiful new album: “The songs and lyrics all came out of a pretty fucked and arduous process of trial and error. But I hope people understand that I’m not the depressed, suicidal, and death-obsessed person the record may paint me as being. These are just darker areas that I wanted to explore.” Baths, you can do whatever you want. Young Fathers and P. Mooris will open.

Price: $10 in advance, $12 at door
