Basile Cafe at The Palladium, Carmel, offers six Indiana craft brews: Sun King Wee Mac Scottish Ale and Sunlight Cream Ale; Upland Wheat Ale and Dragonfly IPA; Mad Anthony India Pale Ale and Blond Lager; Oaken Barrel Alabaster, all pair well with lunch and pre-performance menus.

Oaken Barrel, Greenwood: Celebrating OB's 17th birthday, we savored the multi-layered flavors of Fruit Fly, a Guava infused IPA, and the Uberweizen along with the always deliciously balancedOB Amber. Aaron Koener is the new assistant joining head brewer Mark Havens and assistant brewer John Treeter.

New Albanian, New Albany: Long-time NABC brewer Jared Williamson may now be walking to work at Schlafly in St. Louis, but his craft lives on with the very big seasonal Yakima Rye India Pale Ale.

Shoreline Brewpub, Michigan City: Shoreline is worth the trip for Stella Blue, a light, refreshing, crisp ale with a hint of blueberry and Singing Sands Oatmeal Stout — a tribute to the sands of the South Shore of Lake Michigan — has a tan, creamy head, a nice dark hue and imparts flavors of chocolate, coffee and oatmeal.

A Zymurgy poll listing the "Best Beers in America" includes Three Floyds Alpha King, Dark Lord and Gumballhead.
