Champlin’s domain, of course, is Neon Cornfield, which once again took top honors in the studio category. He named his space after the recording studio he worked at as a kid, crafting zillions of ’70s jingles. His new spot pumps out albums by the likes of Lindsey McKenzie, The Damn Nears, Natalie Coffin and The Rehab All-Stars. Neon Cornfield will celebrate a decade of recording in the not-so-distant future.
