When: Wed., Nov. 12, 6-8 p.m. 2014
Art has the power to shape how we see each other and the world. Immigration is a topic that greatly impacts our community and country, but is often distilled into one image or stereotype. This exhibit brings the human element back into this issue by bonding two groups: local high school art students and foreign-born individuals. During October, the pairs meet and delve into the topic of immigration and their personal stories. They will then create art based on this exchange. The reception will feature the art and bring together these community members.
