Bonnie Whiting plays new experimental music for solo percussion. Each work finds its way back to the question: "what is a score?" Mark Applebaum’s Composition Machine no. 1 generates a fabulously intricate graphic score in real-time during performance. Richard Johnson Logan-Greene’s Untitled is Whiting’s acoustic response to his audio-only electronic score. Two theatrical works for speaking percussionist by Vinko Globokar and Susan Parenti explore spoken word as musical text.
Violinist Erica Dicker opens with a new work for violin and electronics, and Whiting and Dicker will play a short free improv set.
