Visual Arts + Museums

When: Aug. 6-26 2011

The Harrison Center and the Herron Art Library are pleased to present Bound, their fourth annual book arts exhibit.

Artists' books are books created as original works of art that push the boundaries of the traditional book form. Artists' books include varied formats such as flip books, tunnel and accordion-fold books, and even decks of cards. The artist controls both the form and content of the book during the entire process of creation and production whether it is a unique object or a work published in multiple copies.

This year's exhibit will feature work by Christian Arrecis, Sarah Brooks, Ryan Collier, Talia Halliday, Paola Hurtado, David Johnson, Sarojini Johnson, Tasha Lewis, Will Lutz, Emily Schorn, Doug Travis, Sharon Turrini, Emily Vance and Eric Walton as well as a sampling from the Herron Art Library's permanent collection. Returning to present are Bill and Vicki Stewart of Vamp & Tramp Booksellers, LLC. Also this year, attendees will be encouraged to donate books for reuse or recycling. For more info, visit

Price: Free.
