Director Tim Hardy, the Christel DeHaan Visiting International Theatre Artist from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, has set the production in 1920s Verona, Italy. He cut the running time to roughly two hours, and will present the play on what he describes as a “huge, realistic set,” complete with windows, balconies, and a staircase. For the Capulets’ ball scene, he’s even enlisted 10 dancers from Butler Ballet.
Show times are 8 p.m. on Nov. 13 and 14, 7 p.m. Nov. 15, 8 p.m. Nov. 16, and 2 p.m. Nov. 17.
