Join the Johnson County Museum of History to kick off a new program series targeted towards young professionals. The first program of the HYPSTORY: History for Young Professionals series is entitled “Cannonballs and Cocktails,” and it will take place on Friday, November 7 from 6pm to 11:30pm.
The event will begin at the Johnson County Museum of History with a brief chat by curator David Pfeiffer about a historic Johnson County Civil War hero and a cannon the museum is purchasing. Civil War era cocktails will be provided for guests along with light refreshments. The event will end at The Historic Artcraft Theatre with a viewing of Gone with the Wind.
Participants are required to purchase a $15 membership to the program and then receive free admission to all four annual events. Memberships may be purchased through the museum store page here, by calling 317-346-4500, or stopping by the museum during regular business hours.
