All eyes are on Paris tonight as officials announce at least 100 people are dead in multiple shootings across the city. Part of the reports include notice of a hostage situation at an Eagles of Death Metal show where an unnamed amount of the show's attendees are currently being held hostage, and some have been killed. Some reports indicate the band may have escaped when attacks began, although some crew remain hostage.

Attacks were numerous and near simultaneous. The French army has been mobilized and the President of France has declared a state of emergency and has announced France will close its borders.

I don't know what to think right now. I'm stunned by these horrific attacks. I spend so much time in music venues, and they're such a center of joy for me. Churches, schools, music venues — these are places where people should be safe, places of learning and joy and prayer and community. Instead they are too often rocked by terror and death.

I've had French group Christine and The Queens playing frequently in the last few weeks. Please share your favorite French music below. I'd love to hear it. I believe music can heal — maybe one of the only things that can.
