Jazz pianist Claude Sifferlen, who passed away March 18 after an extended bout with cancer, will be remembered at a tribute concert March 31 at the Jazz Kitchen. Featured performers include Frank Glover (his longtime weekly collaborator at the Chatterbox), Steve Allee, Zach Lapidis, Dave Scalia and Kenny Phelps. The suggested minimum donation is $10 (half of which will go to his family to help with medical expenses) and the show kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
Jay Harvey's blog post in memoriam includes a fun limerick Harvey wrote upon Sifferlen's receipt of a Ralph Adams Lifetime Achievement Award.
