Visual Arts + Museums,

Combat Paper

When: Wed., Sept. 25, 6 p.m. and Sept. 25-Nov. 16 2013

War veteran and artist Drew Cameron may not be on the front lines, but he's still putting his uniform to good use: as a tool for making paper. He's founded The Combat Paper Project, where veterans transform their uniform of war into a tool of artistic creation, and also help them shift their perspective and sense of self upon returning home. An exhibition of works from Combat Paper will open in Herron School of Art and Design’s Berkshire, Reese and Paul Galleries in Eskenazi Hall on September 25, running through November 16. The artist will speak about the work on opening night, and will also be conducting a variety of workshops for students throughout the week.

Price: Free.
