Denim Day

When: Tue., April 28, 6 a.m.-11:45 p.m. 2015

In the 1990's, an 18 year old woman was raped, the attacker convicted, but the sentence was overturned because the judge said she was at fault for wearing "tight jeans". From that decision, a movement sprung to wear jeans in solidarity with those who have experienced sexual violence. Mayor Ballard has declared "Denim Day" in Indianapolis to raise awareness about sexual assault. Join Indy in wearing denim on that day!
