As Indianapolis’ urban food movement takes root, join Fall Creek Gardens’ book and film series to catch a glimpse at what’s going on in urban food production around the country. Each month will alternate between a book and a film, giving participants plenty of time to read the selected book before each gathering. December 1: Food not Lawns: How to Turn Your Yard into a Garden and Your Neighborhood into a Community—by H.C. Flores. January 5: “Urban Roots” February 2: Food Rebels, Guerrilla Gardeners, and Smart-Cookin’ Mamas: Fighting Back in an Age of Industrial Agriculture—by Mark Winne March 1: “City Farmer—Survival in the Urban Landscape” April 5: Square Foot Gardening—by Mel Bartholomew
