This exhibition features exceptional examples of Chinese porcelain made specifically for export to Europe and the young United States. Examined are the reasons for their popularity, their variety and the ways in which their forms and decoration were adapted to Western tastes. Beautifully displayed in the historic Lilly House, these objects tell a story of wealth and commercial trade linking Europe to the Far East.
