When: Sat., April 7, 9 p.m. 2012

Other Artists Threat Level, Legion, Discard the Body. In Greek mythology, the Elysion Fields serves as the final resting place of the heroic and virtuous men upon whom the gods have bestowed immortality. Enter these five brave souls, destined for greatness and steadfast in their duty: to defend these fields and guard these gates, opening them only for those that prove themselves worthy. The broodingly epic and melodic metal created by Elysion Fields matches this philosophy. Guitarist Scott Georgeson explains, “The idea behind Elysion Fields itself portrays a life after death. We want to give people music that will be enjoyed now and for the future to come.”This five piece metal band from Chicago, IL recently released a self-titled 6 song EP that showcases their obvious talent as musicians and songwriters. Heavy machine gun drum patterns support dynamic soaring guitars, commanding vocals and relatable lyrics.

Price: $6.
