When: Sat., March 24, 7 p.m. 2012
Celtic fiddler Emily Ann Thompson will be the next featured performer at the "Keys, Strings & Other Things" live music series. Emily Ann Thompson’s Celtic fiddling is lively, passionate, and homegrown with an American flare. She plays traditional Irish, Scottish, and Cape Breton tunes in highly energetic and original arrangements. Drawing from the styles of many different musicians and different types of world music, she has truly created her own unique style of Celtic fiddling. She has performed with symphony orchestras in Lafayette, Muncie, Kokomo, Marion, Anderson, and Noblesville, as well as with various chamber groups and as a soloist. Emily has been performing professionally in weddings and private events for over 16 years, and received the 2010 “Bride’s Choice Award” for the best wedding ceremony music in the Indianapolis area. Prior to the concert, the church is also offering a baked potato bar for $5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in conjunction with a live and a silent auction. The auctions will feature a variety of goods and services and is open to anyone regardless of concert attendance.
