Judith E.; Los Angeles

ComedySportz Arena: 721 Mass Ave. Loud, brassy and more attentive to stuff like blocking and sound design than your average Fringe monologuist, Judith E. certainly sells her piece about coming to terms with menopause. But "The Menopause Crack-Up" is most likely to resonate with those going through the same process. Judith spends a significant amount of time on medical intricacies, including a lecture arguing for the use of natural instead of synthetic hormones. Other material receives more compelling treatment, including a vibrant scene about her coming of age in New York City, going out with boys while under the too-close watch of a hysterical grandmother.
