HOT 96.3 has a brand new pretty glass trophy to add to their collection - WHHH-FM picked up "Radio Station of the Year" honors at this year's Spectrum Awards.
The Indiana Broadcasters Association splits the radio awards into three categories based on market size, and HOT 96.3 took the top spot in the largest-market category, beating out Indy's two country powerhouses, 97.1 HANK-FM and 95.5 WFMS.

HOT 96.3 (WHHH-FM) Indianapolis' URBAN MAINSTREAM radio station has received Indiana's top radio broadcast award. HOT 96.3 was named "Radio Station of the Year" by the Indiana Broadcasters Association during their 26th annual Spectrum Awards ceremony this week.
The Spectrum Awards annually honors the best achievements by Indiana broadcasters during the preceding twelve months.
It was the second time in five years that HOT 96.3 was named Indianapolis Radio Station of the year at the Indiana Broadcast Association's annual Spectrum Awards. The station's first such honor occurred in 2009.
On HOT 96.3 again being named Station of the Year, Vice-President General Manager Charles Williams said, "The HOT 96.3 team has been lighting up Indianapolis year after year. It is really great to see the whole team recognized' as the leaders in Indianapolis."
With a lineup of nationally syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show and dominate local personalities DJ Wrekk 1, Jay Rio and B Swift, HOT 96.3's mix of All Hip Hop and R&B has attracted the most diverse audience of any Indianapolis radio station., typically placing number one in Adults 18-49 and 18-34 month after month, year after year.
HOT 96.3 Program Director Leo Baldwin acknowledged, "This win was a great team effort from full time on air, part time and swing staff, as well as an incredible dominant promotion staff and street team led by Max Williams".
For 22 years HOT 96.3 has entertained, served and informed Indianapolis and Central Indiana with its unique mix of entertaining on air personalities and innovative community involvement and service. HOT 96.3 is Indy's second longest serving contemporary music station.
