"I Do What I Teach, I Am a Teaching Artist"

When: Fri., Aug. 5, 6-9 p.m. 2011

As part of a city-wide "First Friday" art exhibit, Young Audiences Indiana is displaying an exploration of teaching artists and their work in early learning called "I Do What I Teach, I Am a Teaching Artist".

Young Audiences artists are the finest teaching artists in Indiana. They are talented, professional artists with the desire to bring their work to students. These artists have successfully completed a comprehensive year-long audition and certification process and were selected for both the quality of their artistry and the educational content of their programs.

YA has more than 200 different programs, created by artists who are experts in their areas - from Japanese folk singing to hand-made books - and all developed with the intention of bringing the curriculum to life and making a difference in learning.Young Audiences began offering programming for children in ages 3-6 years old in 2001.
