Indiana Wind Symphony: American Tapestry

Central Indiana’s premiere concert band closes its season Saturday with several special guests, including IU trumpet professor John Rommel performing David Gillingham’s When Speaks the Signal-Trumpet Tone. The program, American Tapestry, is highlighted by James Barnes’ Third Symphony (a major work commissioned for the Air Force Band and called “emotionally draining” by its composer) and Michael Markowski’s City Trees (with Markowski in attendance).
