Indianapolis Symphonic Band at Fort Harrison State Park

When: Sat., June 1, 7:30-8:15 p.m., Sat., July 6, 7:30-8:15 p.m., Sat., Aug. 24, 7:30-8:15 p.m. and Sat., Nov. 9, 7:30-8:15 p.m. 2013

The Concert will feature symphonic band music as performed by the musicians of Indianapolis’s  own Symphonic Band.  Musical selections will feature popular songs from classical, pop, jazz  and Broadway composers. 

The Symphonic Band has performed for five years at Fort Harrison State Park and is made up of  amateur, military and professional musicians from central Indiana. The Indianapolis Symphonic  Band has been performing in Indianapolis for over 60 years. The Symphonic Band is made up  of over 110 wind and percussion musicians. Summer band concerts have been a tradition at Fort  Harrison since 1912 dating back to that time when the State Park was a US Army installation.

Enjoy some fresh air, relax under the beautiful sky and listen to great music! Bring the whole family! Bring a picnic! Don’t forget the lawn chairs or blankets to sit on! Remember the bug spray too! Dogs are welcome! (Must be on a leash at all times.)

Price: Free for show, but normal DNR gate fees apply - $5 per carload in-state and $7 per carload out-of-state.
