If you've ever wondered what the pace is like in a professional kitchen, this pretty much answers your question. Cerulean line cook George Turkette took a timelapse video of Saturday night service, and it's mesmerizing.

What are they making over there anyway? Just something with a little splash of color, from head chef Alan Sternberg:

Down in Fountain Square, the new menu rolled out at Thunderbird. Rook's Carlos Salazar designed the menu along with Andrew Whitmoyer, who took over as kitchen manager and is executing dishes like this unbelievably good pork belly/cornmeal waffle/greens/apple butter dish. The dishes there are not modern spins on Southern food, but honest-to-goodness, just-like-Grandma kind of homestyle food, plated with artful modern care. Having tasted this dish, I can honestly say it's a knockout.

Don't worry though, Salazar isn't bored. He's still head chef over at Rook. Head to Fletcher Place to warm up with some cod nuggets:

And let us not forget our friends down in Bloomington at Farm, serving up beautiful salmon, not unlike what we had last weekend at Chefs' Night Off.

Salmons on their way to a lucky table!
