James Spencer Russell Gallery Talk

Discover the connection between literature and fine art in the early to mid 20th century. Patrick Collier, an English Professor from Ball State University, will use James Spencer Russell's obsession with James Joyce's Finnegans Wake to trace links between literary and visual realism, impressionism and abstraction. An introduction by Russell collector and author, Ron Kern, will provide a historical look at Russell's connection with Joyce's Finnegans Wake and how it became a major influence on Russell's work for over 30 years.
