Leo Igwe: Boko Haram and the Threat of Islamic Extremism in Africa

Nigerian human rights activist Leo Igwe has on-the-ground knowledge of religious extremism in Western and Southern Africa as a campaigner against child witchcraft accusations. A laureate of the International Academy of Humanism, Igwe will talk about religious extremism in Ghana and Nigeria and his work in countering, as he puts it, “the deleterious effects of superstition” by “advancing skepticism throughout Africa and around the world.”
