G.C. Lucas Gallery to close on Mass Avenue

The G. C. Lucas Gallery will close its location at 884 Massachusetts Avenue at the end of the year. Current plans call for an on-line presence and small private showings. A sale on all merchandise will commence immediately and continue until closing.

The G.C. Lucas Gallery opened for business on November 11, 1994. The gallery represents contemporary artists from across the country and is the representative of the estates of William Forsyth, Constance Forsyth and Robert Selby. The gallery will continue to represent many of its artists on its website including Karen Chevalier-Smith, Lorraine Sack, Red Rohall and the Forsyth family.

The release of the new website, gclucasgallery.com, will take place in early December. Clients will also be able to follow the gallery and its artists on Facebook and Twitter.

The gallery has received praise from magazines such as American Artist and was once named the city's best gallery by Indianapolis Monthly.
