It's a bit of an oxymoron, in't it? A meditation mob? A peaceful, relaxed group of bright orbs of energy yearning towards enlightenment, gathering together in a messy scrum. But that's the point of it right? A group of meditators descending upon a place like Monument Circle is by definition “disorderly” (as Miriam-Webster would have it of mobs), because of the implicit (if silent) challenge to the established order of commerce, consumption and loud motorcycling outside of an ice cream shoppe. Instructions are to meet on the south side of the Circle, rain or shine; the plan is then disperse outwards from the meeting point and mediate for 40 minutes.
