Sign up now for the first annual Indy Metal Walk & Fun Run at North Central High School’s 5K cross country layout, sponsored by the Indianapolis Colts, in conjunction with Methodist Sports Medicine and ATI PhysicalTherapy. The event scheduled for Saturday, October 11, will celebrate triumph over pain and a return to active lifestyle.
This unique event honors individuals who have overcome the challenge of a joint replacement or other orthopedic implants. The day celebrates their return to an active lifestyle, and is also open to their family and friends, plus runners and walkers of all skill levels
Same day registration will open at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event with the Indy Metal Walk & Fun Run starting at 10:15 a.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Methodist Sports Medicine Research and Education Foundation and the ATI Foundation. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the family of ATI physical therapist and Indianapolis area resident Megan Day, whose young daughter Alaina is battling Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer
