The beloved feline inspiration behind Indianapolis psych-sludge band Male Bondage's full-length record, Love Moon, died on Sunday, Oct. 6.

Moon was a weirdo like us. He came down to sit on the basement stairs and watch during band practice, which I took as a sign of his approval. He only had three goals in a day: sleep, food and sleep. His hibernations and disappearances were incredible. For days he would disappear into some quiet part of the house to be alone, only to reappear and want to party.

Moon loved solo Ozzy Osbourne, watching VHS tapes and welcoming bands from across the U.S. who came and stayed with him. Survived by Lola, Queen Ele, James and Charles, Moon has been commemorated on vinyl, solidifying his dream of becoming truly immortal.
