The first commercial film directed and executive produced by deaf talent, No Ordinary Hero was the best-attended film at last year’s Heartland and will release theatrically this month. It’s about an actor who plays a superhero who’s compelled to do good in real life by helping an eight-year-old boy. And both of them happen to be deaf. The film is open-captioned to make it fully accessible to all audiences.
Price: $5 general, $3 JCC/Heartland member
