The Indiana State Fair was hopping Friday evening. I met up with a friend just in time to watch the Daily Parade - or as I think of it, the Tractor Parade.

We took a spin through the Home and Family Arts Building to look at the photography and art exhibits. Check out Rita Kohn's great suggestions for things to see in the building.

We walked to the Glass Barn and I finally played the BEANGO game and won a "Bean There Done That" hat - I'm a sucker for a pun and a farming related one is even better.

There is a photo booth in the Glass Barn. Jane and I had an udder blast.

This guy clearly has a big monkey on his back.

We popped in to the Mac Reynold's Barn to visit with Mike Lawson and pick up this years version of their State Fair tee shirt.

Walking through Pioneer Village we got to have a nice chat with Tim Nannet, Elsworth Christmas and other folks that make Pioneer Village so awesome.

The sunset was gorgeous over Pioneer Village.

#farmerselfie Rusty Muesing is a Johnson County alfalfa farmer. He also has two horses which he affectionately called "yard ornaments."

Things to see on Saturday:

4:00 PM   Machinery Tour [Pioneer Village]
4:00 PM  Draft Horse Show Competition [Coliseum]
6:00 PM  State Fair the Indiana Musical - this has been one of my favorite things this year.
The musical  takes you back from the 1930’s-through-1960’s with a sugar cream pie contest, clog dancers, singing, a champion boar, favorite fair food, special guests—and of course—a State Fair romance (all of this and more in less than 60 minutes). [Pioneer Village Opry House]
7:00 PM  Rusted Root [Free Stage]
