Pianist Gilbert Kalish

Pianist and master teacher Gilbert Kalish will perform a recital at 8 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts on the campus of Butler University.
Some of his credits in the past few years include an appearance with the St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic, a performance at the Ojai Music Festival, and a residency at the San Francisco Conservatory. In 2006, he was awarded the Peabody Medal by the Peabody Conservatory for his outstanding contributions to music in America.
His program will include a Haydn sonata, Brahms Op. 117, and the Ives "Concord" Sonata.
