Playscape at the Children's Museum

When: Ongoing

New research proves that birth to five years old is a critical time for young children's cognitive, emotional, language and social development. This completely new multidimensional and multisensory exhibit will assist the adults in the lives of little ones to better understand how play is the primary activity that contributes to brain development. The museum will meet parents where they are (some are first-timers, while others already are familiar with various milestones). There will be various areas to explore including: musical, art, creative, block building, reaction contraptions, climbing, water, sand, and wind areas. Each area addresses critical skill development on a variety of topics and levels crucial to infants and toddlers. There will also be private nursing areas and other special amenities for young families.
