The ladies and gents of Pur have been teasing, taunting, and tantalizing audiences monthly since last June. The group's burlesque/cabaret style works well against the dark woods and rich leathers of the BuDa. Just as this partnership has grown, so has the cast of Pur, which now includes thirteen singers, dancers, actors, and aerialists, building on the three original members who hit the stage last year.
To help celebrate this milestone, The Kiss Kiss Cabaret out of Chicago brought members Max Flattery (emcee/singing clown), Brad French (juggler), and Chip Aucoin (broom dancer). Yes, broom dancer... it was just that kind of show.
A packed house enjoyed BuDa's Asian fusion cuisine, strong cocktails, and signature cigars. Donning a "Movie Music Caburlesque" theme, the crowd was treated to three hours of showtunes, choreographed solo and group dancing routines and comedic shenanigans. The evening concluded with prize giveaways.
Next month's shows: July 13th and July 27th (a benefit for Cystic Fibrosis)
