Review: Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine

3.5 stars

Alex Gibney (“Going Clear”) offers an interesting, unflattering documentary bio of Apple icon Steve Jobs. He starts by wondering why so many people were sad when Jobs died, then goes back in time to tell of the early days with Steve Wozniak, the blue box that drove the phone companies crazy, the Atari system “Breakout,” the foundation and rise of Apple, Jobs' firing, his creation of NeXT, his return to Apple and stunning success, etc. I was unfamiliar with his story and found the documentary fascinating. A feature film about Jobs is on the way.
