His first onstage appearance was with bluegrass giant Bill Monroe at the ripe age of 6. By 21, Ricky Skaggs was already recognized as a master of bluegrass music. Mandolin, guitar, vocals and bandleader, Skaggs does it all onstage with his band Kentucky Thunder, a group of hardboiled musical mercenaries who are the absolute best at what they do. This 14-time Grammy winning musician continues to strike a chord with audiences and critics across the country today.
