Jack White — whether it is White Stripes reformed or not, we don't know — will play the first Conan show when it premieres on November 8th. Also set as musical guests first week are the reunited Soundgarden and super group Fistful of Mercy.

Fake Problems, who were just in Indianapolis as openers for The Gaslight Anthem show in September, have a new album Real Ghosts Caught On Tape and it contains a bonus CD of the band playing live at Park Avenue Records. Fake Problems recently performed the album single “Soulless” on Fearless Music, as seen here.

Over the weekend, Pearl Jam, Elvis Costello, Elton John, Modest Mouse, among others, played Neil Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit concert in Mountain View, California. The highlight? A reunited Buffalo Springfriend performance - the first by the band since 1968. Surviving members Neil Young, Stephen Stills, and Richie Furay were joined by CSN drummer Joe Vitale, who filled in for the late Dewey Martin, and Young’s longtime bassist Rick Rosas, who replaced the late Bruce Palmer.
