Ronen Chamber Ensemble: "Once Upon a Time"

The Ronen Chamber Ensemble will present its second concert of the 2013-14 season with a program entitled “Once Upon a Time.” The program will include three chamber works with elements of story telling associated with the music: Schumann's "Fairy Tales" for clarinet, viola and piano; Mullikin's "The Emperor and the Nightingale" for narrator and chamber ensemble; "Mladi" ("Youth") Suite for woodwind sextet by Janacek. Performers are primarily musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. This is the Ronen Chamber Ensemble’s 30th concert season. ISO principal clarinetist David Bellman and ISO cellist Ingrid Fischer-Bellman are co-artistic directors of the series.
