Rummage Sale, Bake Sale & Chili To Go

When: Sat., March 3, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 2012

On Saturday, March 3rd Misty Eyes Animal Rescue & Learning Center will host a large indoor Rummage Sale and Bake Sale. They will also serve delicious home-made chili to go. Stop by to see the large selection of gently used home-goods, toys, electronics, clothing and more. Amy Dickerson, Independent Sale Consultant for “Scentsy” will also have a booth. Dog lovers can enjoy a selection of dog-related items including home-made dog treats.

This event begins at 9am and ends at 4pm and will be held at Scamahorn Park in Pittsboro, conveniently located just off State Road 136. Misty Eyes Animal Rescue & Learning Center is currently in the early planning stages. The long term goal is to have a facility and grounds that will house the shelter and learning center. The shelter portion of the facility will be devoted to the care, rehabilitation and re-homing of the animals that have found their way into Misty Eyes care.

The Learning Center will focus on educating the public about how to help in the prevention of animal neglect, abuse and overpopulation. “We want our Learning Center to be a fun and interactive place that people want to visit.” says Harlor. Fox and Harlor both agree that a community that treats animals with compassion is a community that treats humans with compassion as well.
