Join award-winning daughter-father poets Chi Sherman and John Sherman for a reading from their first collaborative spoken-word CD, Shades: Writing on Race Culture Gender. The CD also includes original music by musician Gabriel Harley. Shades includes poems about John’s upbringing on a Hoosier farm and his experiences in Africa, while Chi’s work often discusses relationships and race. The pair has given solo and joint readings at several venues in Indianapolis and Bloomington. Both have published poetry books and Chi has produced a solo spoken-word CD.
