Lee "Scratch" Perry played at the Vogue on Sunday, May 20. Read our interview with him here.

Besides his somewhat incomprehensible vocal performance (not that it really matters, and he is old so he has an excuse), Lee is still a great stage presence. He moves around a lot and directs the crowd in scratching and rubbing their heads, noses, ears, eyes and tongues, in a slow motion, hokey pokey manner, among other oddities. At one point, he nearly lit his tongue with a lighter. His sampler machine on a stand was accompanied with incense candles to set the mood. Most exciting - besides hearing the offshoot brand of slow tempo reggae that he pioneered - was his T-shirt repping Indianapolis.
