Songs for a New World

When: Nov. 21-22, 7-9 p.m. 2014

The Marian University Department of Theatre explores life and change in the critically acclaimed musical Songs for a New World by Jason Robert Brown. The composer transports his audience from the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge 57 stories above Fifth Avenue to meet a startling array of characters. With a flexible cast and a driving, exquisitely crafted score running the gamut of popular music, Songs for a New World promises to offer the perfect showcase for Marian’s student body.
