Friday March 16th and Saturday March 17th the Golden Ace Inn will be hosting their 79th St. Patrick's Celebration. The Golden Ace, the oldest Irish pub in Indy, will have a large, heated tent, with live Irish musical acts both days.. Headliners are two musical acts from Ireland-- award winning folk band Shebeen (from Co. Armagh) will be making their 1st tour to Indy and singer/songwriter Eunan McIntyre (from Co. Donegal) and celtic rock band from New York, The Allen Gogarty Band. Also appearing are two local acts, Pat Grant and Wild Eye Rose. Bud & Bud Light are on tap in the tent, many Irish beers will also be served. Corned Beef sandwiches, cheeseburgers and other food will be served. No cover charge. Must be 21 or older to enter.
McGinleys' Golden Ace was opened four months after prohibition, in 1934 by Irish immigrants John & Ann McGinley. It's still owned and operated by the McGinley family, making it one of the oldest continuously owned family owned pubs in the U.S.
