When: Sat., Aug. 6, 9:30 a.m. 2011
Join Neighbor Power! folks for a follow-up event for the whole family-The Ag Ride. Just like the Ag Crawl, we will tour gardens, a school, a grocery, and farms on the Near Eastside and share a meal together, but we will be touring on bikes!
The Ag Ride will leave from the Felege Hiywot Center at 1648 Sheldon St. You may park near the center and bring your bikes into the fenced area North of the house. The ride will be visiting the following destinations: Paramount School of Excellence Garden, Pogue's Run Grocer, Englewood Community Garden, Fruit Loop Acres and Big City Farms.
This loop is around 5 miles long, using both bike paths and streets. We will take every precaution to ensure every participant's safety, but a liability waiver will be required.
A few destinations may provide snacks and water, but be sure to bring water bottles for the whole family.
We will return to Felege Hiywot Center to share a lunch prepared by Miss Aster with ingredients from all the stops on our tour. If you can, please bring picnic ware, dishes and silverware for your family.
Official registration can be found here.
